In a history spanning 48 years, 49 people have served on the AWA Board, some of those have barely completed their minimum term whilst others have completed numerous 3 year terms. Only 13 can be considered long term directors having completed more than 10 years on the Board.

On Friday 23rd of June Basketball Geelong received confirmation that their planning application with the City of Greater Geelong for the Crows Road stadium (to be known as AWA Alliance Bank Stadium) redevelopment had been approved, the final hurdle to jump through in the planning phase of the project. This notification means that their dream of building their very own stadium is now a reality and they will move into the construction phase.
